Contents and focus of the degree programme:

The aim of the degree programme is to familiarise students with the connexions between the use of natural resources and its effects on environment and health. It teaches the knowledge and skills in management and environmental technologies which enable the creation of sustainable production systems, especially in heavily polluted areas. The development of new environmental concepts and the systematic application of known concepts will be the core skills of the graduates. These qualifications allow them to work in many different areas, both in the private sector and in the public sector. The medium of instruction is English.

Definition of the field of studies

The degree programme in Environmental Sciences – Soil, Water and Biodiversity, ENVEURO in Austria teaches broad natural sciences knowledge and engineering methods in the areas of water, engineering and land management to create a broad understanding for responsible planning, design, building and maintenance of technical objects and infrastructures.

Exams

The degree programme aims at familiarising students with the connexions between the use of natural resources and its effects on environment and health. It teaches the knowledge and skills in management and environmental technologies which enable the creation of sustainable production systems, especially in heavily polluted areas. The development of new environmental concepts and the systematic application of known concepts will be the core skills of the graduates. These qualifications allow them to work in many different areas, both in the private sector and in the public sector. A study period abroad is compulsory.

Entrance examinations

For an application for this master’s programme a TOEFL test with a minimum score is required. Moreover, a personal statement and a curriculum vitae must be submitted.
