Contents and focus of the degree programme:

The master’s programme in International Business Informatics imparts students skills and abilities which enable them to design and implement corporate information systems, to develop corporate concepts and to introduce them in companies, to support specialists in the development and the use of software applications, as well as theoretical and applied scientific research in the field of application of information and communication technologies. The programme is organised as a joint degree programme at the University of Vienna (Austria), Dublin City University (Ireland) and Comenius University of Bratislava (Slovak Republic). Students are required to attend courses at at least two partner universities. The medium of instruction is English.

Definition of the field of studies

The degree programme in International Business Informatics deals with the challenges of business informatics in an international context.

Exams

The master’s programme in International Business Informatics consists of the compulsory modules “Structural Science“, “Business Science“, “Information Management“, “Business Informatics“, “Core subject combination 1: E-Commerce”, “ Core subject combination 2: Knowledge Engineering“ and “Master Thesis”. From the elective subjects “Introduction to the Information Society“, “Discrete Event Dynamical Systems for Communication Based Systems“, “Advanced Technologies Supporting Business Areas“ and “Corporate Portals and Knowledge Management“ students have to choose one. The “Master Thesis“ module consists of the “Master Thesis Seminar“, the “Master Thesis Examination“ and the writing of the master's thesis. A study period abroad is compulsory.
