Contents and focus of the degree programme:

The master’s programme focuses on the combination of academic education and business-related / corporate knowledge for the promotion of entrepreneurial skills at the interface between management and computer sciences. Students acquire knowledge of applied computer sciences and learn to apply key skills and theories in practice. They will benefit from a practice-oriented and internationally oriented degree programme in close cooperation with the industry, focusing on enterprises / business administration, communication and information technology as well as from highly qualified experts in the teaching. Graduates will be able to integrate technological aspects into the economic system, they will possess sound management expertise and an understanding for the importance of information management for company development. They can work in leading functions in the services industry, the health sector, in trade, banks, software development, insurance companies, telecommunications, etc. The medium of instruction is English.

Definition of the field of studies

The discipline Management, Communication & IT deals with the conception of innovative IT solutions for the communication between companies and their customers and for an increase in competitiveness.


The master’s programme lasts four semesters and includes the following subjects: communication (eCollaboration, intercultural communication, presentation techniques, team management, business ethics), IT information & communication technology (information technology, innovation management, multimedia & design project, system planning, software development), management & business management (corporate & financial analysis, entrepreneurship, eBusiness, global IT markets, management information systems, mergers & acquisitions, quality management, strategic management) and master’s thesis & academic research (qualitative and quantitative research methods). Selected students will have the opportunity to take part in a semester abroad programme at one of the numerous partner universities. Students have to write a master’s thesis.

Entrance examinations

The requirement for admission to this programme is a completed bachelor degree in economics, social sciences or information technology.
