Master programme Communication Science (E)

Contents and focus of the degree programme:

Graduates will be able to work on current research questions relevant to society in the area of communication sciences on a level which will allow them to continue their studies abroad, using contemporary research methods. Moreover, they will be able to work as decision-makers in internationally oriented communication jobs, especially in commercial research. The degree programme focuses on the contexts, content and effects/consequences of communication processes on a micro, meso and macro levels.

Definition of the field of studies

The students are taught skills related to theories and methods of empirical communication research.

Exams

The degree programme consists of the following compulsory modules: - Introduction to Communication Theory and Research - Introduction to Communication Research Methods - Advanced Data Analysis - Research Projects 1 - Research Projects 2 Moreover, the students have to write a master's thesis and pass a master's examination.
