Definition of the field of studies

The doctoral programme “PhD Law and Politics” brings together research and teaching in law and politics on the doctoral level, combining subjects and disciplines. The problem-oriented understanding of the correlations between law and politics is an essential requirement for the scientific further development of theories and methods in these disciplines and thus serves to develop basic research at the universities further. This approach moreover is application-oriented and thus of great importance for scientifically funded legal and political consulting.

Exams

The degree course concludes with a dissertation, the presentation and defence of the planned dissertation project before a dissertation committee, the defence and the completion of the compulsory subjects.
