Content and focus of the degree programme:

The aim of the master’s programme in Counseling Psychology at the Webster University is to train psychologists to become competent in counseling. The students will acquire sound knowledge of the theory and practice of counseling psychology, social science research, and ethical and sensitive dealing with cultures and values. The programme not only focuses on preparing the students for a future job, i.e. on practice; another focus is imparting the basics of counselling and psychotherapy to gain multicultural skills in research. The master’s programme at the Webster University Vienna is internationally oriented: Students come from 70 different countries, professors come from approx. 20 different countries. The students moreover have the possibility to continue or complete their studies at one of the more than 100 locations of the Webster University. The medium of instruction is English.
