Master’s programme Cartography – International Master's Programme (E)

Content and focus of the degree programme:

A core element of this degree programme is the coverage of spatial topics, which are addressed from both a theoretical and scientific and from a practical point of view. Methods of creating traditional static maps are covered as well as location-based services, mobile cartography, internet cartography and issues related to GIS-based geodata and their visualisation.

Das Internationale Masterstudium Cartography wird gemeinsam von den Technischen Universitäten in München, Wien und Dresden angeboten. Jeder Studierende muss dabei an jeder beteiligten Universität ein Semester absolvieren, wobei die Reihenfolge vorgegeben ist. Das vierte Semester zur Abfassung der Masterarbeit kann an einer beliebigen der drei Partneruniversitäten verbracht werden. Das Studium ist vollständig englischsprachig.
