Master programme Strategy, Innovation and Management Control (E)

Contents and focus of the degree programme:

The master’s programme in Strategy, Innovation and Management Control teaches students the necessary skills for leadership positions in companies, non-profit organisations and public administration. The focus of the programme accordingly is on systematic linking of strategy and finances and on the combination of the creation of new success potentials and consistent organisational and financial management of the exploitation of existing success potentials. The degree programme is taught entirely in English. After passing the common courses and examinations students can choose between specialisations in Strategy, Innovation and Management Control or Double Degree with St. Petersburg State University. In the Double Degree specialisation students have to study a semester abroad at St. Petersburg State University. The medium of instruction is English.

The degree programme in Strategy, Innovation and Management Control deals with the different tasks and challenges arising in international management.

Exams

The master’s programme in Strategy, Innovation and Management Control consists of the general compulsory subjects of “Managing Business from a Strategic Perspective“, “Managing Business from an Entrepreneurial Perspective“, “Managing Business from a Financial Perspective“, “Managing Business from an Organizations & Governance Perspective“, “Business Planning and Performance Management“, “Executive Leadership“, “Managerial Economics“, “Business Research Methods“, “Personal Skills I“, “Personal Skills II“ and “How to write a thesis Seminar“ and the specialisation tracks “Strategy, Innovation, and Management Control“ and “Double Degree“. In the “Double Degree” specialisation track a study period abroad is compulsory. Students have to write a master’s thesis to complete the programme.
