Definition of the field of studies

Exams

The programme includes the following focus areas: Innovation, management, social skills and eBusiness (students will acquire the necessary know-how to use new technologies and to use the newly emerging market chances on the internet systematically). Students can choose one of two specialisations (Hospitality Management or Destination Management). They have to write two bachelor theses, do a work placement of approximately 140 hours and pass a bachelor's examination.

Entrance examinations

The prerequisite for admission to this programme is a school leaving certificate (Matura) or vocational diploma qualifying for studying at a higher education institution (Berufsreifeprüfung) or in case of a university entrance qualification exam one of the social and economic sciences studies; subject-related qualifications plus supplementary examinations; completed apprenticeship in the group of skilled trades “tourism” or completion of a vocational secondary school in the area of “Fachschule for hotel and hospitality”; graduates of a tourism kolleg have the possibility to start with the third semester of the IMT course.
