The bachelor's degree programme in Music Education provides basic artistic, academic, didactic and practical training for the teaching profession in music education at secondary schools (of general education). The subject-specific part combines artistic standards – especially in the main subject – with professional knowledge in the central discipline of music education as well as basic knowledge in musicology and music theory. Scientific findings will be tested with regard to their relevance for teaching and at the same time new questions for a scientific discourse will develop from teaching.
