Definition of the field of studies

Spatial Information Management offers a universal solution framework for many fields of application areas like Natural Hazards Risk Management, Site Potential Analysis, Infrastructure Planning, Water Resource Management or Traffic Simulation and Modelling.

Exams

Apart from the courses in the focus areas the curriculum includes courses in the following areas: Fundamentals in GIS, Mathematics and Computer Science, Geodata Management, Spatial Decision Support Systems, Spatial Statistics & Optimization, Operations Research, Spatio-Temporal Databases, Scientific Communication, Entrepreneurship, Visualization, Geosimulation and Project. Moreover, students have to write a master’s thesis.
