The bachelor's degree programme in industrial engineering offers two branches of study to choose from: industrial engineering and computer science. The industrial engineering branch of study covers production technologies and automation technology. The computer science branch of study covers business data science, digitisation in industrial companies and IT project management. In addition to economic and technical skills "Industrial Engineering and Management" also focuses on social skills. Personal development is systematically promoted and methodological skills are taught. The students can put what they have learned into practice in a number of ways: In the innovation workshop where they can initiate and accompany innovative economic developments or in the Smart Lab, which provides the spatial infrastructure and the necessary machines to put their own ideas into practice and create the first few prototypes.
