The aim of the extra-occupational master’s programme in “Management for Health Professionals” (MHP) is to teach the students scientific methods, expert knowledge and a moral sense of responsibility, thereby conveying the principles that they require for leadership and management tasks in health sector institutions, in particular in hospitals. Besides professional and methodological expertise the students will acquire and consolidate in particular their leadership and management skills and socio-communicative skills and self-competence. A special focus is on quality management in hospitals. In the first semester the students will on one hand gain a fundamental understanding of the health sector and its structures and on the other hand acquire fundamental management skills. In the second semester the focus is on operative hospital management and the knowledge acquired in the first semester will be expanded.
