The master's course in Communication Science builds on the basic knowledge acquired in the bachelor's course in Communication Science and comparable bachelor's degree courses. The students will deepen and complement their academic professional training; however, the focus will lie more on academic research. Graduates will have acquired skills in central research fields of communication science, they will be able to organise and conduct scientific analyses in communication sciences autonomously and also to consider and apply apt theories. Besides this, graduates will have acquired the modes of thinking and working of communication science for the analysis of complex issues, a deeper knowledge of the processes of social and cultural communication as well as an understanding of the processes of (multi)media conception, creation and production.
