Content and focus of the degree programme:

This study programme is only available in German.

The private building sector is currently responsible for about 29% of the final energy demand in Austria, 43% of this energy comes from fossil fuels. In order to drive the expansion of local and district heating and achieve the goal of a climate-neutral Austria by 2040, it is necessary to construct energy-flexible and at the same time energy-saving buildings. And to meet the demand for skilled workers, a denser supply is needed. With their knowledge, graduates are perfectly trained for the sectors of energy production, energy management construction/building technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology, for energy agencies, environmental technology, or urban planning and urban energy concepts.
