Master’s programme Informatics

In the master's degree course in Informatics the students will gain further skills in the field of informatics and its areas of application. On the basis of scientific findings the compulsory modules impart state-of-the-art methods and techniques in important core areas. The students can choose to specialise in either formal subjects (e.g. higher mathematics, theoretical informatics) or subjects focusing on practical experience (e.g. databases, software techniques, software systems). Application-oriented modules of (e.g. geoinformatics, bioinformatics, information law, multimedia, image processing, data analysis, geometric computing) and elective modules allow students to specialise according to their individual interests. Elective modules consist of advanced or supplementary subjects that students can choose from the current range of courses.
