The Master's programme in Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Vienna deals with the diversity of human practices, ways of life and forms of organisation in their local expressions and global connections. It builds on a Bachelor's degree in Cultural and Social Anthropology or another degree in social sciences, cultural studies or humanities with supplementary examinations. Its aim is to deepen existing knowledge and skills in cultural and social anthropology, expand methodological and theoretical knowledge, and supplement this with specialisation in thematic fields of research.
