The master's programme in Arabic Linguistics at the University of Vienna qualifies students to conduct independent linguistic and, in particular, dialectological research on the Arabic language. Graduates are able to use basic methods and questions of general linguistics to analyse and describe the spoken varieties of Arabic.
To be admitted to this programme, applicants must have knowledge of Modern Classical Arabic and/or Modern Standard Arabic at level B2 and English at level B2.
