This study programme is only available in German.
The theoretical content of the programme includes obstetrics and obstetric medicine but women's health and midwifery research also play an important part. To be able to understand and assess the psychological and social processes surrounding "becoming a parent" the study programme also places a focus on high social skills of midwives in the training. The students will learn to see the uniqueness of each woman and her child – a central component of the midwifery profession.
