Master’s programme Molecular Biology (E)

Content and focus of the degree programme:

The Joint Degree master’s programme in Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University Linz is the first inter-university master's course in Austria. The course imparts a profound understanding of the chemical, biophysical, molecular, cytobiological and biotechnological disciplines of life sciences. At the University of Salzburg the degree course offers lectures and seminars analysing complex cellular interactions related to cellular stress response, ageing and regeneration. Moreover, there are seminars on the analysis of proteomes, systems biology, and functional analysis in model systems. Complementarily, the faculty in Linz offers courses dealing with biophysics, biological analysis and biotechnology.
