Master’s programme Mathematics

The master's programme in Technical Mathematics prepares the students for highly qualified occupations as mathematicians in industry and business as well as for doctoral studies in mathematics. It deepens and broadens the students’ skills and knowledge of mathematics acquired in the bachelor's programme in Technical Mathematics. Graduates should be able to find innovative solutions to mathematical problems in natural sciences, engineering, economics and medicine. Therefore the knowledge of both the basics and the methods and algorithms of application-oriented sub-areas of mathematics will be deepened in the master's programme. An increased offer of research-guided courses stimulates in particular creative thinking and prepares the students for doctoral studies.
