Content and focus of the degree programme:

The students have to complete the following courses: In Strategic and Instrumental Aspects of Marketing: Global Marketing Strategy, Retailing & Sales, Business Modelling & Innovation, Digital Marketing. In Marketing Research and Planning Techniques: Marketing Analytics, Qualitative Insights. In Personal and Business Skills: Business Software Skills, Personal Skills. Moreover, the students have to write a master’s thesis.

The master's programme in Marketing provides students with a research-based and practice-oriented understanding of customer-oriented organisations and their interactions with different stakeholders.

Entrance examinations

The prerequisite for admission to the master’s programme is a completed bachelor's or equivalent degree programme in a relevant field. For master’s programmes taught in English at the Vienna University of Economics and Business admission is conditional on passing the application and selection procedure which is scheduled before the start of the programme.
